Lady Vols Shatter 4x400m School Record, Post No. 2 NCAA Mark At Tiger Paw Invite

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Tennessee Lady Vols rank second nationally in the women's 4x400-meter relay after a record-breaking performance from Cydney Wright, Brianna White, Esther Joseph and Javonya Valcourt on Saturday at the Tiger Paw Invitational. The group combined for a time of 3:27.60, shattering the Tennessee school record by more than two seconds and establishing themselves as the second-fastest group in the NCAA this season – only 0.13 seconds off the 2025 collegiate lead.
UT wrapped up a busy weekend with representation at three meets on Saturday – the Tiger Paw Invitational (Clemson, S.C.), Music City Challenge (Nashville, Tenn.) and David Hemery Valentine Invitational (Boston, Mass.).
Top performances and personal records from Saturday are highlighted below. Up next, Tennessee will wrap up the regular indoor season with a group of pole vaulters returning to Blacksburg, Virginia, for the Virginia Tech Challenge.

- The Lady Vol quartet of Cydney Wright, Brianna White, Esther Joseph and Javonya Valcourt shattered the school record in the women's 4x400-meter relay, finishing as the top collegiate program at the Tiger Paw Invitational with a time of 3:27.60. Their mark ranks second in the NCAA this season and third on the 2025 world list, and their performance ranks Tennessee No. 9 on the all-time NCAA school list indoors.
- Valcourt's anchor leg closed out the record-breaking performance as the Bahamian Olympian clocked a 400-meter split of 50.88.
- Vol senior Javonte' Harding was victorious in the Purple division of the men's 200-meter dash, clocking a season-best performance of 20.78 seconds that ranks 16th in the NCAA as of Saturday afternoon.
- UT junior Blake Sifferlin equaled his season-best in the pole vault, jumping 5.40m (17-8.5) to finish second at the meet.
- Tennessee's distance crew saw six athletes log PRs in the women's 3,000-meter at the BU Valentine Invite, led by graduate student Ashley Jones' time of 9:16.95 in her season opener. That mark ranks the Castle Pines, Colorado, native No. 9 in Tennessee history in the indoor 3k.
- Tennessee athletes combined to break or tie 11 indoor personal records on Saturday at the Tiger Paw Invitational, Music City Challenge and BU Valentine Invitational.
