Jalen McMurray Tabbed To SEC Football Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Southeastern Conference office announced Thursday morning that Tennessee defensive back Jalen McMurray represented the Vols on the 2025 SEC Football Community Service Team.
The SEC names a Community Service Team for each of its 21-league sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.
An SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient, McMurray has been one of the Vols' leaders in community service efforts. The redshirt senior from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, has worked numerous camps and hosted football camps for youth, and he routinely visits with patients at the East Tennessee Children's Hospital in Knoxville.
McMurray saw action in all 12 games during the 2025 regular season, earning nine starts at STAR during his second and final campaign on Rocky Top. He has totaled a career-best 54 tackles and six TFLs to go along with three pass breakups.
