October 06, 2025 | Volleyball
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- After a stellar double-double performance in a comeback victory, Tennessee volleyball redshirt junior Caroline Kerr has been awarded SEC Setter of the Week Honors. This is the second time this season that Kerr has been named the conference's setter of the week, and the fifth time in her career.
In the reverse sweep win over LSU on Oct. 3, Kerr picked up her fifth double-double of the season. The Champaign, Illinois-native finished the match with 39 assists and 14 digs. The performance both offensively and defensively by Kerr, helped spur the Lady Vol comeback effort after falling two sets to none. Kerr has double-doubles in all three conference games, giving her a team-leading five total on the campaign and 18 for her career.
Kerr leads the team with 368 assists, ranking as the seventh-best total in the SEC. She is averaging 9.14 assists per set, helping key a Lady Vol offensive attack that leads the country in hitting percentage at .334 and ranks 14th in the nation in kills per set at 14.16. Before the season, Kerr was named to the AVCA National Player of the Year Watch List. It was the second consecutive year that Kerr was named to the watch list. Kerr also garnered Preseason All-SEC recognition. Kerr also represented the United States at the 2025 U23 Pan-American Volleyball Cup this summer. Kerr captained the U23 national team in the tournament, helping lead the United States to a gold medal in the event.
Kerr and the Lady Vols are back in action on Wednesday, as they continue their three-game road swing at Texas. First serve is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be streamed on SEC Network+.
