January 03, 2025 | Men's Basketball
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee announced Friday afternoon that the men's basketball team's outings versus both Arkansas and Florida are officially sold out.
The contests against the Razorbacks and Gators are set for Jan. 4 and Feb. 1, respectively, at Food City Center.
Four of Tennessee's nine remaining games area already sold out, as the Kentucky (Jan. 28) and Alabama (March 1) affairs were announced Nov. 7 as sellouts. The Volunteers also sold out the SEC/ACC Challenge meeting with Syracuse (Dec. 3), giving the program five confirmed sellouts already.
Limited tickets remain Tennessee's outings against Georgia (Jan. 15), Mississippi State (Jan. 21), Missouri (Feb. 5), Vanderbilt (Feb. 15) and South Carolina (March 8). Fans looking to purchase seats for those games are encouraged to do so soon. Tickets are available HERE.
In addition, fans seeking to bring a large group to Food City Center this season can begin that process HERE, while those interested in learning more about season tickets for future years can do so by clicking HERE.
After setting a then-arena record with five sellouts in 2022-23, Tennessee far eclipsed that mark with eight in 2023-24. Including the three in 2021-22 and one thus far in 2024-25, the Volunteers are 14-3 in their last 17 sellouts over the past four seasons, including 9-1 in the last 10 such games since Feb. 15, 2023.
Tennessee, which plays in the third-largest on-campus arena in the country, is sold out of season tickets for the sixth consecutive full-capacity season. In all five of those prior years, it has finished top-eight nationally in average attendance, including placing fourth in 2023-24 at 19,664.
Currently the top-ranked team in the nation, Tennessee went 13-0 in non-conference play. It marked the fifth time the program has posted a perfect mark in non-league play in the SEC era (since 1932-33), including the second time with nine-plus contests.
The Volunteers begin their conference slate Saturday at 1 p.m. with the aforementioned matchup against Arkansas, which is ranked No. 23 in the AP Poll. Action will be televised on ESPN, live from Food City Center.
