Vols in the NFL – Week 3

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Week 3 in the NFL witnessed another historic day by a former Vol as Jauan Jennings starred for the 49ers in Los Angeles, while Alvin Kamara and Byron Young continued their strong starts to the 2024 NFL season.
In LA where the 49ers battled the Rams, Jennings had a career day pulling in 11 catches for 175 and three touchdowns. He is the first 49ers wide receiver since Jerry Rice in 1995 to register 10-plus catches, 150-plus yards and three touchdowns in a single game.
On the other sideline in Los Angeles, Young recorded four total tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack while also forcing a fumble and breaking up a pass attempt as the Rams came from behind to defeat the 49ers.
Down in New Orleans, Kamara kept rolling with his third game this season going over 100 yards of total offense. The eight-year vet rushed 26 times for 87 yards while hauling in three receptions for 40 yards.
