KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Lady Vol senior rower Gracie Condon was named to the 2023-24 Women's At-Large Academic All-America Third Team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Tuesday afternoon.
The Academic All-America teams, selected by CSC members, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The first, second and third teams are comprised of 50 total student-athletes.
The Dallas, Texas, native posted an overall season boat record of 42-6 this year, competing primarily in Tennessee's Second Varsity Eight boat.
A member of Tennessee's 2V8+ boat for the NCAA Championships Grand Final on June 2, Condon helped the crew place third with a final time of 6:22.830. That result marked the best-ever NCAA Championship finish for a Tennessee 2V8+ crew.
The Lady Vols' 2V8+ crew also made history at the Big 12 Championships, crossing the line in second place with a final time of 6:10.993. That mark was the fastest by a Lady Vol Second Varsity Eight boat in Big 12 Championship history.
Condon and the 2V8+ crew earned Big 12 Boat of the Week honors on April 24 after multiple dominant performances at the Big Ten Invitational.
The senior garnered numerous academic awards this season, including being recognized as a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete for the third time in her career, earning a spot on the Big 12 Academic All-Conference First Team and placing her name on the 2023-24 SEC Academic Honor Roll. In addition, Condon was one of four Tennessee rowers named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team.
