Moore & Burke Tabbed First Team All-Americans by Baseball America

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee's dynamic duo of Christian Moore and Blake Burke continued to rack up postseason honors as both were named first-team All-Americans by Baseball America on Friday.
Moore and Burke have both now garnered multiple first-team All-America accolades this season with Friday's recognition (full listing below).
Moore is having one of the greatest single seasons in program history after winning the Triple Crown with his stats in league play, leading the SEC with a .429 batting average, 20 home runs and 41 RBIs in conference play while also leading the league with 57 hits and 123 total bases.
Entering play this weekend, Moore leads the nation with 109 hits and ranks in the top-25 nationally in home runs (t-3rd – 33), runs (t-12th - 81), slugging percentage (11th – .816) and total bases (2nd – 231).
The New York native ranks in the top 10 in UT single-season annals in multiple categories, including first in home runs (33), first in total bases (231), first in extra-base hits (54), tied for second in hits (109), fourth in runs (81), fifth in slugging percentage (.816) and tied for sixth in RBIs (73). Moore became just the fourth player in UT history to reach the 100-hit mark in a season, joining program legends Chris Burke (2000 & 2001), Jeff Pickler (1998) and Todd Helton (1995).
Burke has also had a season to remember, earning second-team All-SEC and SEC All-Defensive team honors to go along with his All-America selections. His 28 doubles rank second in the nation and third in program history while his 104 hits are tied for second most nationally and rank sixth in UT single-season history, making him the fifth player in program history to reach the 100-hit mark.
The California native has also posted career highs in runs (72), home runs (20), RBIs (61), walks (34), total bases (194) total bases and stolen bases (11).
