CARLSBAD, Calif. – The fifth-ranked Tennessee men's golf team concluded round two at the NCAA Championships Saturday.

The Vols shot 4-over in round two and sit tied for 12th at 21-over ahead of round three. UT's second-round score propelled them 12 spots up the leaderboard.

Following Sunday's round of stroke play, the field will be cut in half to 15 teams

Lance Simpson and Bryce Lewis provided UT with a pair of 1-under 71s during Saturday's round.

Simpson is 4-over through 36 holes and currently tied for 34th.

Lewis started his round at 2-over but quickly flipped the switch after the turn and played his final nine holes at 3-under.

He enters Sunday's round 5-over and tied for 40th.

Evan Woosley-Reed, Bruce Murphy and Jake Hall shot 75s in the second round.

Woosley-Reed enters round three at 5-over and is also tied for 40th.

Murphy is currently 7-over and enters round three tied for 67th.

Hall is 11-over and tied for 117th ahead of day three.
