Lady Vol NCAA First Round Practice Day/News Conference Recap

RALEIGH, N.C. -- No. 6 seed Tennessee (19-12) participated in a pre-tourney press conference and interview session on Friday morning, and the Lady Vols got in a 90-minute practice at Reynolds Coliseum in preparation for Saturday's NCAA Tournament First Round game vs. No. 11 seed Green Bay (27-6).
Fifth-year forward Rickea Jackson and senior guard Jewel Spear were on the dais first to take questions from the media, while head coach Kellie Harper followed to wrap up the Big Orange's presser. Other members of the team and staff were available to members of the media in the locker room for approximately 30 minutes.
UT and the Phoenix are set to meet at noon on Saturday in a contest televised by ESPN. The other Raleigh NCAA First Round game features No. 3 seed North Carolina State (27-6) vs. No. 14 seed Chattanooga (28-4). The winners of those games will meet on Monday at Reynolds Coliseum in the NCAA Second Round at a time to be determined.
