Radovanovic, Fahey Named CRCA Athletes to Watch
March 12, 2024 | Rowing
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Two members of the Tennessee rowing team received recognition from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Tuesday afternoon. Graduate coxswain Sasha Radovanovic and junior rower Alice Fahey were each included on the CRCA's Inaugural Athletes to Watch listing.
Radovanovic was one of just three Division I coxswains to be included on the watch list, while Fahey was one of 20 Division I rowers to receive the spotlight.
While previously at SMU, Radovanovic led the Mustangs as the coxswain of the first varsity eight in every race during a record-setting 2022-23 season. She coordinated the 1v8 boat masterfully, leading the Mustangs to a third straight AAC title with a 10-second cushion during the 2023 AAC Championship.
Fahey earned First Team All-AAC honors a year ago as a sophomore at SMU, competing in the first varsity eight boat. That crew helped lead the way for a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Championship. This past summer, Fahey earned a silver medal for Team New Zealand as a member of its women's coxed four at the 2023 World Rowing Under 23 Championships.
A 2022 All-AAC Second Team selection who went on to capture First Team All-AAC honors as a senior in 2023, Radovanovic also earned AAC All-Academic Team recognition as sophomore with the Mustangs in 2020-21.
The Lady Vols officially commence their 2024 season March 29 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, racing against Minnesota. The competition will be held at Melton Hill Lake and is free for all fans.
