Stone Set to Compete at World Aquatics Championships for New Zealand

DOHA, Qatar – VFL Liam Stone will compete at the World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar, in diving events beginning on February 3 and running through February 10.

NBC Sports will broadcast the World Aquatics Championships throughout the competition. Stone will represent his home country of New Zealand as well as serving as the lone UT representative for the diving portion of the event.

The Vol diver from 2014-18 is well versed on the world stage and competed at the World Aquatics Championships last July. During the competition in Fukuoka, Japan, Stone placed 20th on 3-meter and 3-meter synchronized.

Later in the competition, Tennessee will have 12 swimmers competing in Doha from February 11-18.

Below is Stone's schedule of events (all times EST) for the upcoming week:

3-meter Synchronized - February 4 at 7:30 a.m.
3-meter Prelims - February 6 at 2 a.m.
Mixed 3-meter Synchronized - February 10 at 5:30 a.m.
