Rackham Watt Announces 2025 Signing Class

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee volleyball head coach Eve Rackham Watt announced Friday the Lady Vols' 2025 signing class.

The group is made up by outside hitter Maggie Dostic, middle blocker Alaina Jarrett and defensive specialist Alexa Stutzman. All three will join Tennessee in the summer ahead of the 2025 season. Here's a breakdown of the newest Lady Vols.

As a senior, Dostic was the 2024 MaxPreps Player of the Year for Florida and garnered second Team All-American honors from the organization. She posted 311 kills on .313 hitting, 166 digs, 51 aces and 27 blocks. She finished with double-digit kills in 16 matches, including three 20-kill efforts and a 30-kill performance. She also added five double-doubles after posting at least 10 digs in a match six times.

She helped Plant win the 2023 state title after posting a career-best 366 kills for the season. She tallied 18 kills and 16 digs during the championship win over Winter Park. During her sophomore campaign, she recorded a staggering 752 digs, which ranked second among all players in Florida and 47th nationally, according to MaxPreps.

Dostic played club volleyball at OTVA Tampa, where she garnered numerous All-Tournament honors throughout her career. She helped the team finish first in the 17 Open competition of the 2024 Nike MEQ and 2024 Big South Tournaments.

"Maggie is a great addition to our program as one of the most complete outside hitters in the class. She has been the go-to attacker for her high school and club teams, as well as a primary passer. She has good range and vision, which make her highly effective in the front row. What I really like is Maggie is used to winning and understands what it takes. As a senior, Jarrett finished with 239 kills, 203 digs, 78 aces, 52 blocks and 39 assists to showcase her versatility. In addition to her player of the year recognition, she was tabbed to the South Carolina All-State Team. She posted double-digit kills 15 times and recorded eight double-doubles. On two occasions, she posted 10 aces in a match and finished with nine two other times, as she saw major success at the service line. She also added double-digit digs in eight contests, including a 21-dig effort.

Jarrett played club ball for Apex Volleyball. During her time with the team, she garnered All-Palmetto Region honors.

Stutzman comes from an athletic family. Her father, John, was the University at Buffalo's all-time wins leader (95) in wrestling when he graduated and is currently the head coach at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. Her mother, Annette, is the strength and conditioning coach for Olympic sports at UB. Her aunt played volleyball at Florida, and three of her uncles were NCAA Division I wrestlers.

"Alexa is a steady player who is a great athlete. She is quick, reads the game well and is committed to being whatever the team needs. I like her platform control and believe her serve will help us score points. Maggie Dostic / Outside Hitter / Tampa, Florida
Ranked as the No. 31 overall recruit in the country by PrepVolleyball.com, Dostic is the highest-rated high school signee for Tennessee since 2013. No stranger to high-level volleyball, she reigns from perennial powerhouse Plant High School in Tampa, Florida. She helped the Panthers to four-straight 7A title matches, winning the 2021 and 2023 championships. For her career, she's tallied 1,427 digs, 1,320 kills, 197 aces and 113 blocks.Â

Alaina Jarrett / Middle Blolcker / Charleston, South Carolina
Named the 2024 South Carolina AA Player of the Year, Jarrett is a middle who can play multiple positions. For her high school career, she recorded 636 kills, 308 digs, 178 blocks and 114 aces at Academic Magnet High School.Â

Alexa Stutzman / Defensive Specialist / Buffalo, New York
A strong back row player, Stutzman is a two-time All-New York State Team honoree from Williamsville East High School. With more than 1,300 career digs, she was named an All-Western New York First Team selection three times and was also a three-time All-ECIC First Team recipient. She played club with Academy Volleyball Cleveland and Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club.Â
