ATHENS, Ga. – Redshirt sophomore setter Caroline Kerr hit another milestone for her career, as Tennessee defeated Georgia on the road in four sets (25-9, 25-19, 15-25, 25-23) at Stegeman Coliseum.

Kerr, who surpassed 2,000 assists for her career during the contest, posted an all-around effort with 34 assists, nine digs, four kills, three aces and three blocks. She helped guide the Lady Vol offense, which featured three players finishing with double-digit kills.

Graduate student outside hitter Nina Cajic posted a match-high 15 kills to go along with six digs and two assists, while freshman right side Paityn Chapman had 10 kills on .444 hitting and two blocks. Junior outside hitter Hayden Kubik recorded her sixth double-double of the season and fifth of the last seven matches, netting 13 digs, 10 kills, two aces and a block.

Defensively, junior middle blocker Keondreya Granberry led the way with five blocks to go along with her six kills on .714 hitting. Freshman middle blocker Chelsea Sutton added four kills, three blocks, two digs and an assist. Tennessee's defense at the net and on the back row helped hold the Bulldogs (9-10, 3-6 SEC) to .234 hitting in the match.

As a team, the Lady Vols (11-8, 4-5 SEC) finished with 50 kills on .333 hitting, 48 assists, 48 digs, 11 aces and eight blocks. It was the fourth time this season in which UT eclipsed double-digit aces in a contest. In addition to Kerr's and Kubik's efforts at the service line, sophomore libero Katie Barrier had a career-high three aces, while sophomore defensive specialist Mackenzie Plante added two.

The Big Orange opened the match hot, winning the first four points of the contest and seven of the first eight to force an early Georgia timeout. It was all Lady Vols from there thanks to 13 kills on .684 hitting along with four aces to fuel the offense. Defensively, UT held the Bulldogs to just nine points in the set after hitting -.048.

Both teams went back and forth to begin the second stanza, but the Lady Vols came out on top thanks to 8-3 and 11-5 runs. The offense continued to have the hot hand, recording 15 kills on .370 hitting to go with three aces. Cajic led the UT attack with six kills in the set, with four coming in the final 10 points for Tennessee.

The Bulldogs dominated the third period, holding the Big Orange to just seven kills, six attacking errors and .045 hitting. The Georgia offense tallied 14 kills and five aces. The fourth frame was a battle, but UT came up victorious thanks to five UGA serving errors and three attacking errors that made up the difference in the set. Kubik had five kills in the set to lead the offense, while Cajic chipped in four.
