Men's Golf Central: Fighting Irish Classic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The sixth-ranked Tennessee men's golf team is set to compete in its third tournament of the fall, taking part in the Fighting Irish Classic, hosted by Notre Dame.
The tournament consists of three total rounds—36 holes of play on Sunday and the final 18 holes on Monday.
The event is set to be played at the par-70, 7,023-yard Warren Golf Course. The Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore designed course is ranked as the 10th-best golf course in the state of Indiana by Golf Digest.
According to Bushnell/Golfweek's Coaches Poll, Tennessee is the highest rated team in the 15-team field.
THE VOLS' LINEUP
Lance Simpson
Simpson, who is currently No. 64 in the world according to World Amateur Golf Rankings, is coming off a pair of consecutive top-five finishes at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate and Valero Texas Collegiate. The redshirt junior currently holds a 69.00 stroke average through two tournaments.
Evan Woosley-Reed
Last time out, Woosley-Reed tied for fifth at the Valero Texas Collegiate after shooting 6-under overall. The Shelbyville, Tennessee, native shot a final-round 65 to propel up the leaderboard to secure the top-five finish.
Kai Komulainen
Komulainen is set to make his five-man lineup debut. Most recently, the freshman tied for 11th at the Papago Individual, marking his first career top-15 finish.
Jackson Herrington
In his first tournament as a Vol, Herrington tied for eighth at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate after shooting 4-under overall.
Josh Hill
Hill is coming off a top-25 showing at the Valero Texas Collegiate where he shot 1-under overall.

Laurent Desmarchais
Desmarchais most recently competed in the Papago Individual where he tied for 15th to notch his 12th career top-25 outing.
Bruce Murphy
The redshirt sophomore currently holds a 72.26 career average, as well as three career top-10 finishes.
