- Tennessee won the toss and elected to defer to the second half. Arkansas received the opening kickoff and Tennessee defended the north end zone.
- The Vols gained 332 yards on Saturday, eclipsing 300 yards of total offense for the 42nd time in 44 games of the Josh Heupel era.
- Junior RB Dylan Sampson sparked Tennessee's offense with a pair of rushing touchdowns in the third quarter, upping his season total to 12 scores on the ground.
- Sampson's 12 rushing touchdowns this season ties eight other players for the 10th most in UT history in a single campaign, while his 25 career rushing scores ties Jay Graham (1993-96) and Jimmy Streater (1976-79) for the 10th most in a Tennessee career.
- Sampson had a 53-yard run on UT's opening drive of the second half - tying Tennessee's second-longest rush of the season - and on the ensuing play, he punched it in from four yards out for his 11th rushing touchdown of the season.
- Sampson's second rushing TD of the night came on another 4-yard plunge with 8:19 left in the third stanza.
- Sampson rushed for a season-high 138Â yards Saturday night, and eclipsing 100 yards rushing for the fourth time this season and for the eighth time in his career.
- Tennessee finished with seven tackles for loss on the night and had nine different players record at least half a tackle for loss.Â
- The Vols have recorded at least five TFLs in four of their five games this season.
- UT has yet to allow an opponent reach the 20-point mark this season and has held six straight opponents to under 20 points dating back to last season's Citrus Bowl victory over Iowa.
- LB Keenan Pili led the Vols defensively, totaling 14 tackles on the night. The mark is a Tennessee career-best for the redshirt senior.
- Pili's career-high in tackles was 17 vs. Arizona on Sept. 4, 2021 while playing for BYU.
- DL James Pearce Jr. posted a career-high nine total tackles and also posted season highs in TFLs (2.0) and sacks (1.0) while also adding a pass breakup.Â
- DB Will Brooks finished the game with a career-hgh 10 tackles and also forced a fumble.
- LB Arion Carter had a career-best eight tackles and tied a career-high with 1.5 TFLs on the night.Â
- P Jackson Ross boomed seven punts for 299 yards with one 50-plus yard boot and two punts downed inside the 20.Â
