Vols Slated to Play Virginia Tech & Samford in Fall Exhibition Games

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee baseball announced that it will play Virginia Tech and Samford in a pair of exhibition games this fall.
With renovations ongoing at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, both games with be played away from Knoxville to give UT fans across the state a chance to see a preview of this year's squad.
The Vols' first fall exhibition game against Virginia Tech will take place on Sunday, Oct. 22 in Greeneville, Tennessee and be hosted by Tusculum University.
General admission tickets can be purchased for $10 online at www.TusculumPioneers.com/tickets or in person at the Tusculum Athletic Department located in Rankin Hall (Room 109), Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. General Admission seating sold out in 48 hours, but there will be 100 berm/standing room only tickets available for purchase at the Pioneer Park box office starting at 11 a.m. on Sunday ONLY. Berm/standing room tickets are $5 per person. Tennessee and Virginia Tech baseball season tickets are not valid for entry for this event. For more info, click HERE.
The Big Orange will then travel to the midstate for their second exhibition, where they'll square off against Samford at 1 p.m. CT (2 p.m. ET) on Sunday, Nov. 5 at First Horizon Park, home of the Nashville Sounds.
Tickets are on sale now, with concourse level seating starting at $10 plus tax. Club Level seats are available for $20 plus tax. Club Suites and Field Suites are also available. All tickets can be purchased HERE. Gates will open at 12 p.m. CT. Tennessee will serve as the home team and occupy the third base dugout.
Tennessee is coming off its sixth Men's College World Series appearance in program history, marking its second trip to Omaha in the past three years under head coach Tony Vitello.
The Vols return 17 letterwinners from last year's team and welcomed in the nation's No. 4 ranked signing class by Perfect Game to go along with a handful of high-profile additions from the transfer portal.
