Four Members of Tennessee Men's Golf Program Set to Compete at U.S. Men’s Amateur

Four members of Tennessee's golf program—Bryce Lewis, Caleb Surratt, Laurent Desmarchais and assistant coach Bo Andrews—are set to be part of the 312-player field at this week's 123rd U.S. Amateur in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado.

This year's U.S. Amateur runs August 14-20, with the first two days featuring 18 holes of stroke play apiece, before moving into the match play portion for the remainder of the event.

Tennessee golfers have had past success in the U.S. Amateur. Oliver Goss finished runner-up in 2013, while Eric Rebmann finished runner-up in 1987.

This year's event will be Lewis' sixth time competing in the U.S. Amateur. In last year's tournament at The Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey, he advanced to the match play Round of 32.

In the 2021 tournament at Oakmont Country Club, Surratt advanced to the Round of 32 in match play, while Andrews fell in the Round of 64 to the event's eventual runner-up.
