Hudd Named to CSC Academic All-America Third Team

AUSTIN, Texas – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Wednesday afternoon that Tennessee men's tennis graduate student Emile Hudd was named to the organization's Academic All-America third team.

Hudd is Tennessee's second recipient of the honor all-time, as Chris Mahony earned CoSIDA (now CSC) All-America status in 1995 and 1996.

A 2022 ITA Scholar Athlete honoree, Hudd competed at Tennessee for the final two years of his collegiate career, earning second team All-SEC status in 2022 and being selected to the All-SEC First Team in 2023. Hudd finished with career marks of 95-46 in singles and 107-41 in doubles.

The London, England, native achieved a 3.61 grade-point average through during his undergraduate studies and recorded a 3.75 GPA while earning his master's degree in Agricultural Leadership, Education & Communication.

Hudd logged a 19-11 singles record and was 28-6 on the doubles courts in 2022-23. He posted marks of 12-4 (8-2 SEC) at the No. 2 singles lineup position and was 20-5 (11-1 SEC) at the No. 2 doubles spot during his final year on Rocky Top.

Hudd ascended to a career-high ITA national singles ranking of No. 27 this season and logged seven ranked singles victories, including a pair of top-15 triumphs this spring. In combined singles and doubles action over the last two seasons, Hudd tallied 106 total victories while playing for the Vols.

Previously, men's tennis was included in the at-large category for CoSIDA Academic All-America. This is the first year in which the sport became its own separate category.
