LVFL Burdick Headed To USA 3x3 National Team Trials

USA Basketball has announced 18 athletes expected to participate in the 2023 USA 3x3 Women's National Team trials at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, and Lady Vol alum, 2015 UT Torchbearer and USA 3x3 veteran Cierra Burdick is among that group.
As trials begin May 12, the USA Basketball 3x3 Selection Committee will be on hand to evaluate participating athletes for 2023-24 3x3 national teams. The women's trials feature invitees who bring a combination of USA Basketball (5-on-5 and 3x3), professional and collegiate experience.
Participating athletes in addition to Burdick are: Azana Baines, Mara Braun, Sam Breen, Cameron Brink, Marquesha Davis, Lexi Donarski, Linnae Harper, Leilani Kapinus, Natalie Kucowski, Jaelynn Penn, Alexis Peterson, Breanna Richardson, Madison Scott, Hailey Van Lith, Skylar Vann, Kayla Wells and Camille Zimmerman.
Previously, Burdick was a member of the 2022 3x3 Women's National Team that competed at the 2022 FIBA 3x3 World Cup. Also in 2022, Burdick represented the USA in the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series.
Additionally, Burdick was on the 2021 FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup gold medal team and she earned a gold medal at the 2014 FIBA 3x3 World Cup.
Burdick played at Tennessee from 2011-15 and was a Coaches All-SEC First Team choice as well as an AP All-America honorable mention selection as a senior. She also was a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll recipient and a two-time SEC Community Service Team member. She tallied 1,072 career points, averaging 8.1 points and 6.0 rebounds for her career, helping the Lady Vols win two SEC regular-season and SEC Tournament titles as well as contributing to three NCAA Elite Eight finishes.
