KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The 2023 Tennessee track & field regular season will conclude this weekend with the nationally ranked squads splitting up for two meets—the Music City Challenge (April 28-29) in Nashville and the LSU Invitational (April 29) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The weekend kicks off Friday night in the state capital with UT's miler duo of Canaan Anderson and Yordanos Zelinski running the men's 1,500-meter at Vanderbilt's outdoor track facility, with the starting pistol firing at approximately 9:10 p.m. ET. Action from Nashville concludes Saturday afternoon with eight runners contesting the women's and men's 800-meter at 4:40 and 5 p.m., respectively.
A group of Tennessee's sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers and throwers will get an early look at the SEC Championships venue with the LSU Invitational running all day on Saturday inside Bernie Moore Stadium in Baton Rouge. The meet begins with the women's weight throw at 11:30 a.m. ET and concludes at 7 p.m. with the men's 4x400-meter relay.
