Women's Golf Central: Clemson Invitational

SUNSET, S.C. – Tennessee's women's golf team is set to conclude its regular season at the Clemson Invitational, hosted by Clemson at The Reserve at Lake Keowee, running March 24-26.
The 16-team field will participate in a three-day, 54-hole event, with 18 holes being played each day.
Last season, Tennessee had a strong showing at the Clemson Invitational, with LVFL Mikayla Bardwell and junior Kayla Holden recording top-20 finishes, tying for 15th and 19th place, respectively. As a team, the Lady Vols finished play in ninth place out of the 17-team field.
LADY VOLS' LINEUP
Angela Arora
Arora is coming off an impressive performance at the Clover Cup, where she captured the individual title after shooting -11 overall, the second-lowest 54-hole score (relative to par) in program history. This marked the first individual champion under second-year head coach Diana Cantu, and is the first Lady Vol to notch a first-place finish since the 2020-21 season. Arora was tabbed SEC Co-Golfer of the Week on March 15, 2023, for her performance, and now holds a 72.11 stroke average and has five rounds of par or better since joining the team in January 2023.
Emily Hawkins
Hawkins is joining the Tennessee lineup for the first time since the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate in September. The graduate has played as an individual in two tournaments this spring, notching her first top-25 finish (T24) at the Clover Cup after recording a 54-hole score of 221 (+5). Hawkins has totaled a 75.22 stroke average and two rounds of par or better so far this season.
Vanessa Gilly
Gilly, who has participated in every tournament in the regular season, tied for 32nd place at +9 at the Clover Cup. The junior's best performance this season came at the first event of the season at the Cougar Classic in September, where she shot -2 to tie for 21st place. Gilly holds a 73.17 stroke average with eight rounds of par or better so far this season.
Caroline Patterson
Patterson, who is playing in her eighth tournament of the year, carded a strong 69 in the third round of the Clover Cup to tie for 29th place. The freshman's best outing of the season came from the Illini Women's Invitational in October, where she notched the first top-25 finish of her collegiate career (T19), carding an impressive 67 in the second round to shoot -5. Patterson earned SEC Freshman of the Week accolades after her performance at the ICON Invitational in February, where she logged two under-par rounds (71, 69) to shoot -3 and tie for 20th place. The Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, native holds a 73.67 stroke average and has totaled five rounds of par or better so far this season.
Manassanan Chotikabhukkana
Rounding out the lineup is Chotikabhukkana, who has participated in every tournament in the regular season. Last time out, the freshman placed 31st at the Clover Cup, shooting +8 overall. The Bangkok, Thailand, native's best performance came at the Landfall Tradition in October, where she earned SEC Co-Freshman of the Week accolades after shooting -2 to tie for 13th place. Chotikabhukkana has totaled a 72.96 stroke average and leads the team in rounds of par or better with 10 so far this season.

The Lady Vols will begin their postseason at the SEC Championship, hosted at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama, running April 12-16. The first three rounds of the event are stroke play, with one round being played each day. The top eight teams of the 14-team field will advance to match play that weekend.
