Track Central: Tiger Paw Invite/Music City Challenge/BU Valentine Invite/Millrose Games

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Two weeks out from the SEC Indoor Championships, the Tennessee track & field program is split across four meets on Friday and Saturday. The Big Orange sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers have returned to Clemson, South Carolina, for the Tiger Paw Invitational, while a group of distance runners and throwers will trek to the midstate for the Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt.

A crop of 5k specialists will run at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University, and Dylan Jacobs suits up for the Millrose Games in New York City in an elite men's 3k field featuring numerous Olympians and World Championship qualifiers. The Dr. Sander Invitational 3,000m will start Saturday at 5 p.m. ET and be nationally televised on NBC.

FOLLOW LIVE: The Tiger Paw Invitational will be streamed live both days via ACC Network Extra (Friday Stream / Saturday Steam), and live results will be provided throughout the weekend by AdkinsTrak Timing Associates.

RANKINGS UPDATE: In Monday's installment of the USTFCCCA Track & Field Rating Index (TFRI), the Vols checked in at No. 6 in the NCAA Division I national rankings while the Lady Vols were slotted No. 12. Tennessee is one of five schools nationwide and one of two in the SEC with both its men's and women's squads ranked inside the top-12 in the country.

NCAA CALIBER: On the most recent TFRRS 2022-23 NCAA Division I Indoor Qualifying List, four Vols and four Lady Vols are ranked inside the top-16 nationally of their respective events this season. Graduate student Charisma Taylor headlines the group, ranking top-10 in the nation in three events: 60-meter hurdles, triple jump and long jump.
