Cupini Announces 2024 Rowing Schedule

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – First-year Tennessee rowing coach Kim Cupini announced the program's 2024 schedule Wednesday.

Tennessee opens the 2024 campaign in Cocoa Beach, Florida, where the Louisville Scrimmage will take place Feb. 16-17.

"We are looking forward to a lot of great racing this spring," head coach Kim Cupini said. "We've been focused on building a strong foundation. We are excited to get out on the course this season, embracing the new caliber of Tennessee rowing."

Cupini and her staffs have earned conference coaching honors during nine of her 16 seasons as a head coach, while her teams have won a combined seven league titles between her stops at San Diego (2007-17) and SMU (2017-23). Under her guidance, the Toreros and Mustangs earned a combined four NCAA Championship appearances, finishing inside the top 15 nationally each time.  Â

Following the Louisville Scrimmage is a head-to-head battle with Minnesota, running March 29-31 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Tennessee is set to compete at the Big Ten Invite, taking place in Sarasota, Florida, April 19-20. Joining the Lady Vols in the 15-team field is fellow Big 12 member Alabama. Next up, the Lake Wheeler Invitational, running April 27-28 in Raleigh, North Carolina, will cap the regular season.

The Lady Vols then head to the Big 12 Championships, to be held at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida on May 19. The trip marks Tennessee's second venture to Sarasota in 2024.

The NCAA Championships, held in Lake Harsha, Ohio, this season will run May 30-June 2. The Division I Championship provides for a field of 22 teams as defined by two Eight boats and a Four boat.
