- Saturday's attendance at Neyland Stadium: 101,915 (sold out)
- The Vols and Bulldogs have both played in front of a sellout crowd in every game this season.
- Tennessee has sold out Neyland Stadium for 12 consecutive home games, a streak that dates back to Sept. 17, 2022 vs. Akron.
- Tennessee's all-time on-field record fell to 874-414-53 with Saturday's loss. (NCAA record: 863-414-53).
- Saturday marked the 53rd meeting between Tennessee and Georgia on the gridiron.
- Georgia improved to 28-23-2 in the all-time series. It was the 32nd consecutive season that the two teams met, a streak that dates back to 1992 when the SEC Eastern Division began.
- The Nov. 18 contest against Georgia was the latest calendar date between the two teams since the scoreless tie on Nov. 21, 1906, in Athens. It was just the 10th meeting between the Bulldogs and Vols in the month of November.
- Saturday's game was the 17th between the two programs where both teams were ranked in the AP Poll (UT No. 21, UGA No. 1).
- Tennessee saw its home winning streak end at 14 games, a streak that dated back to Nov. 20, 2021. It was the longest home winning streak since claiming 23 straight from 1996-2000.
- It was the Vols' first home loss since Nov. 13, 2021, also to No. 1 Georgia (41-17).
- Tennessee's team captains for Saturday's game: LB Aaron Beasley, DL Kurott Garland, LS Matthew Salansky, TE Jacob Warren
- Georgia won the toss and elected to defer to the second half. Tennessee received the opening kickoff, and Georgia defended the south end zone.
- DB Andre Turrentine (safety) and DB Jourdan Thomas (STAR) both made their first career starts in Saturday's game. A total of 12 players have made their first career Tennessee starts this season, including five on offense and seven on defense.
- With Jeremiah Crawford (LT) and Dayne Davis (RT) starting Saturday's game at offensive tackle, it was the fourth different offensive line combination that the Vols have started this season.
- Tennessee scored on its first offensive play from scrimmage on Jaylen Wright's 75-yard touchdown run. It was the fifth time in the Josh Heupel era (2021-pres.) that the Vols have achieved that feat and the second time this season. QB Joe Milton III had an 81-yard TD run vs. UTSA on Sept. 23.
- The Vols have scored a touchdown on their opening drive in eight of 11 games this season.
- RB Jaylen Wright opened the scoring with a 75-yard touchdown burst on the game's first play from scrimmage. The junior has recorded two rushing touchdowns for 75-plus yards this season, adding an 82-yard dash against UConn on Nov. 4.
- Wright has two career rushing TDs against Georgia, capitalizing on a five-yard score in Athens last season on Nov. 5.
- QB Joe Milton III ended his streak of games with a touchdown pass at 14, which is the third-longest streak in Tennessee history.
- Hendon Hooker (2021-22) owns the program record at 20, while Heath Shuler (1992-94) is second with 18.
- Tennessee won the turnover battle, 1-0, with a fumble recovery by Aaron Beasley in the fourth quarter. It was the fourth time in five games UT has won the turnover battle.
- DB Doneiko Slaughter posted a game-high 11 tackles for Tennessee, the highest number of tackles by a UT player in a single game this season.
- LB Aaron Beasley added his third sack of the 2023 season, tying his career-high season total of three from the 2022 season.
- The senior linebacker from Franklin, Georgia, finished the game with nine tackles, two TFLs, one sack and one fumble recovery.
- PK Charles Campbell connected on a 37-yard field goal as time expired at the end of the first half. From inside 40 yards this season, Campbell is a perfect 12-for-12.
