Vols Remain In Top 20 of Nov. 14 College Football Playoff Rankings

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee remained in the top 20 of the College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday night at No. 18 and now awaits a showdown with Georgia, who jumped Ohio State into the No. 1 position.
The SEC boasts the most teams in the rankings as the Volunteers join top-ranked Georgia, No. 8 Alabama, No. 9 Missouri, No. 13 Ole Miss and No. 15 LSU.Â
Tennessee is the third-highest ranked three-loss team and two of those have come on the road against teams in the top 10 in Missouri and Alabama.Â
Dating back to last season, the Vols have been appeared in nine consecutive CFP rankings under the direction of head coach Josh Heupel.Â
The Vols take on Georgia, who is ranked No. 1 in all three polls, at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday on CBS from a sold-out Neyland Stadium. Gates open at 1:30 p.m.Â
SEC Network's SEC Nation and Marty & McGee will be on hand Saturday morning leading up to kickoff. Fans are invited to come join in the action from 9 a.m.-noon at Ayres Hall.Â
