KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – It was another solid week for former Tennessee football players around the league as Week 4 of NFL games concluded.
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara made his 2023 season debut and was heavily involved in the offense. Kamara had 11 rushing attempts for 51 yards while recording 13 catches for 33 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His 13 receptions were tied for the second most in a single game of his career.
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Joshua Dobbs had another productive contest in his fourth start of the season. Dobbs completed 28-of-41 passes while throwing for a career-high 265 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also added 12 rushes for 48 yards, finishing the game with a career-best 313 total yards.
Los Angeles Charger Josh Palmer continued to shine for his squad, pulling in three receptions for a season-high 77 yards during the Chargers win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Out of the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter, Palmer hauled in a career-long 51-yard catch to help seal the victory.
Trey Smith played in primetime for the Kansas City Chiefs' win over the New York Jets Sunday night, seeing action on 70 snaps at right guard in a 23-20 victory. Smith had the key block that sprung Isiah Pacheco to a 48-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
Rookie receiver Cedric Tillman logged his first career catch for Cleveland, making a five-yard catch on a slant route to convert a third-and-2 late in the Browns' contest against the Baltimore Ravens.
Defensively, Alontae Taylor posted four total tackles with two solo stops for the Saints, marking his fourth consecutive games with at least four tackles.
