Vols In Second as Surratt and Lewis Sit Inside Top 10 After Two Rounds at Fighting Irish Classic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The fifth-ranked Tennessee men's golf team is in second place following two rounds at the Fighting Irish Classic Sunday, while Caleb Surratt and Bryce Lewis sit inside the top 10 individually.
As a team, the Vols shot even-par in both rounds and currently sit four shots behind Indiana (-4) and one shot ahead of Northwestern (+1).
Surratt guided Tennessee on day one after notching a 1-under 69 in round one and a 2-under 68 in round two. The sophomore sits tied for third at 3-under overall and is one stroke behind the lead heading into the final round.
One shot behind Surratt is Lewis, who logged a 3-under 67 in the opening round and a 1-over 71 in the second round. The redshirt senior is tied for sixth place heading into round three.
Redshirt-senior Jake Hall posted a 1-over 71 in the first round and an even-par 71 in round two. He is 1-over and tied for 18th place ahead of day two.
Sophomore Evan Woosley-Reed and redshirt sophomore Lance Simpson shot 4-over throughout the first two rounds. The duo logged a 3-over 73 in round one and a 1-over 71 in the second round. They are tied for 37th place entering Monday's final round.
Competing individually for the Vols, Laurent Desmarchais posted a two-round total of 9-over. The junior is tied for 63rd place ahead round three.
Bruce Murphy, who is also competing as an individual, posted a 10-over score for rounds one and two. He is tied for 71st going into the tournament's final round.
