XC Preview: Tennessee-Florida State Dual in Boone, North Carolina

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The 29th-ranked Tennessee men's and Tennessee women's cross country teams are slated for an NCAA South Region dual in Boone, North Carolina, against Florida State on Friday at 8 a.m. ET. The dual will be held ahead of The Firetower Project Meet.
The race will be UT's second dual of the season after it opened the year at home versus Chattanooga in the Tennessee Cross Country Invitational. It will be the first dual for FSU since 2018.
The women's 4-mile begins the morning at 8 a.m., with the men's 6-mile to follow shortly after at 8:30 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT
Both the Vols and Lady Vols won the season-opening meet two weeks ago, defeating Chattanooga. The men scored 18 points and were led by Eli Nahom (20:38.04), while the women posted 16 points. True freshman Andie-Marie Jones (18:33.87) won the race for the women.
IN THE POLLS
The Vols climbed one spot in the latest USTFCCCA national polls, moving from 30th to 29th. They also moved up into second place in the south region – ahead of fourth-place Florida State.

Here is how the Vols and Lady Vols will lineup Friday morning against the Seminoles:
The Men: Canaan Anderson, Riley Buchholz, Will Cronin, Conner Hawkins, Jacob Lewis, Matthew McMillan, and Eli Nahom.
The Women: Msgana Araya, Allison Buemi, Ainsley Cooper, Kayla Gholar, Emma Kate Hamby, Andie-Marie Jones, Kathleen Maley, Erin Spreen, Rachel Sutliff, Audrey Thronson and Callie Tucker.
