Pissott, USA Open Play At FIBA U18 Americas Championship

Tennessee women's basketball freshman Justine Pissott and the USA will open play Monday afternoon at the 2022 FIBA U18 Women's Americas Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
USA will begin preliminary round competition in Group B at 2:30 p.m. ET Monday, facing off vs. Colombia. Pissott and company will follow suit on Tuesday and Wednesday with 2:30 p.m. Group B match-ups, respectively, against Puerto Rico and El Salvador.
Tournament play begins June 17 and concludes on June 19. The USA has won gold in the last nine FIBA U18 Women's Americas Championships and 10 gold medals since the event's inception in 1988.
Pissott, a 6-foot-4 guard/forward, hails from Toms River, New Jersey, and attended Red Bank Catholic High School. The five-star recruit, who is ranked No. 11 overall and the No. 2 wing in the class of 2022 espnW 100, was named an All-American by both McDonald's and the WBCA, and was a participant in the Jordan Brand Classic.
