Parker To Lead Keynote Session At NCAA Inclusion Forum

University of Tennessee alum and LVFL Candace Parker will lead one of the keynote sessions at the 2022 NCAA Inclusion Forum, which will take place virtually on June 15 and 16.

The NCAA Inclusion Forum annually brings together higher education and intercollegiate athletics leaders and student-athletes who are passionate about improving the educational and professional environment for student-athletes, coaches, administrators and staff.

This year's theme is "It's Time: Delivering on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging." The Forum will kick off on June 15 with a celebration of Title IX's 50th anniversary with Billie Jean King, sports icon and champion of equality. In addition, unique programming will be provided for athletics diversity and inclusion designees.

Parker, a WNBA star, entrepreneur and NBA broadcast analyst, will lead a keynote session entitled "Kicking Glass, Breaking Barriers & Inspiring Social Change" on June 16. Other speakers include Haben Girma, the first deaf-blind graduate of Harvard Law School and disability rights advocate, as well as a spoken word performance by Yorri Berry, poet and children's rights advocate. Educational sessions on each of the office of inclusion's five core areas of disability, international, LGBTQ, race/ethnicity and women/gender equity will be also be featured.
