ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – A 1-under outing from Spencer Cross led the way for Tennessee Wednesday as the Vols began postseason play at the SEC Championships.
Â
Tennessee shot 12-over as a team during round one and is in 13th place entering round two. Following Friday's third round, the top eight teams in the field will move on to match play. The Vols are just seven strokes back from the top eight of the field.
Â
Coming off his first career individual title last week at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial, Cross was one of only 17 golfers in the 70-man field to shot below par.
