BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Tennessee's women's golf team completed the first round of the SEC Championship on Wednesday. The Lady Vols currently stand tied for 12th place (+17, 305).
Senior Mikayla Bardwell started the day strong and shot 1-under on the front nine, while sophomore Kayla Holden was +2. The pair ended the day tied for 33rd place at 3-over (75).
Vanessa Gilly, a sophomore, shot 2-over through the first nine holes and concluded the round in 42nd place at 4-over (76).
Freshman Bailey Davis, making her SEC Championship debut, carded a 79 to finish the first round tied for 58th (+7).
Junior Nicole Whiston shot an 81 and is tied for 66th place ahead of day two.
