Track Central: Pepsi Florida Relays

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Vols and Lady Vols head south to Gainesville, Florida, for the 2022 Pepsi Florida Relays Thursday-Saturday March 31-April 2 at Percy Beard Track.
This will be the first full meet schedule for the Pepsi Florida Relays since 2019.

Delta Timing will provide live results throughout the weekend for fans unable to attend. The meet can be live-streamed on SEC Network+ beginning Friday at 5 p.m. ET, with coverage Saturday starting at 1:30 p.m.
MEET SCHEDULE
Georgios Korakidis opens the meet for Tennessee on Thursday in the men's hammer throw beginning at 5 p.m. ET. The Kilkis, Greece, native is the only Vol in competition on the first day of the meet.
If weather interrupts the event schedule, Florida will have an alternative schedule to incorporate as many events as possible this weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
Tennessee sent a small squad to the Raleigh Relays last weekend as it opened up the outdoor season. Karl Thiessen and Sydney Seymour were among the group at NC State and set top-10 times in program history in the men's 10k and women's 5k, respectively.
Thiessen ran 28:59.71 in the 10,000-meter run and became the sixth-fastest outdoor performer in the event in Tennessee history. Seymour posted the second-quickest time in Lady Vol history in the women's outdoor 5,000m, running 15:48.83.
UP NEXT
Tennessee returns home to Tom Black Track Thursday-Saturday April 7-9 as it hosts the Tennessee Relays. As a part of the festivities surrounding the action on the track and on the field, UT will honor its championships teams from 1972, 1981, 1991, 2001 and 2002.
More than 150 Vol and Lady Vol alumni will be in town for the weekend, with the championship team recognitions happening Friday night. On Saturday, Tennessee will celebrate 14 of its student-athletes before the start of competition.
