Vols Tied for Sixth Entering Final Round at Hayt Invitational

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The 19th-ranked Tennessee men's golf team played up two rounds at the Hayt Invitational Sunday and is tied for sixth place entering the tournament's final round.

The Vols shot 21-over for the day—6-over during round one and 15-over in round two.

Tyler Johnson tied for Tennessee's best round during each of Sunday's rounds, shooting 1-over during the first 18 holes and 3-over in round two. Johnson is 4-over through two rounds and tied for 23rd place, searching for his third top-25 finish of the season.

Bryce Lewis and Laurent Desmarchais posted round one scores of 1-over 73 equal to Johnson before carding identical round two scores of 5-over 77. Lewis and Desmarchais are tied for 34th place through two rounds.

Spencer Cross and Hunter Wolcott are tied for 40th place, having posted one round of 3-over and one round of 4-over apiece.

Cade Russell and Trenton Johnson both competed as individuals for the Vols. Russell is tied with Cross and Wolcott at 7-over, while Johnson is 15-over through two rounds.

Russell shot rounds of 3-over 75 and 4-over 76, while Johnson rebounded from a 13-over 85 in round one to shoot 2-over 74 during round two.
