December 05, 2022 | Soccer
Forward Jaida Thomas has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Second Team following her redshirt-junior campaign.

A 2022 first-team All-SEC performer, Thomas started every game this year and concluded the 2022 season with 13 goals and two assists. She led the team in total points with 28 and tallied three game-winning goals. She finished the season averaging .68 goals per game to rank first in the SEC and 12th in the nation.
Thomas, who has led the team in scoring in each of her three seasons on Rocky Top, currently ranks second all-time at Tennessee with 38 career goals and is just six goals shy of surpassing Kylee Rossi's program-best 43 goals. Her current goals-per-game average of .72 ranks second in the Tennessee record book, trailing only Bunny Shaw who averaged .77 goals per game over her two years in Knoxville. Thomas' 11 game-winning goals ties for fourth in program history.

This marks the third season in which Thomas has been named to a United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region team.
