PREVIEW: Auburn Diving Invitational

AUBURN, Ala. – Tennessee diving is back in action this weekend with a trip to The Plains to compete in the Auburn Diving Invitational on December 17-20.
The Vols and Lady Vols join LSU and Illinois along with the hosting Tigers to fill in the four-day meet. To open the weekend, the men's 1-meter will begin the invite Saturday at 1 p.m. ET, starting with prelims and followed immediately by the finals.
On Sunday, the women's 1-meter will begin at 12 p.m., while the men's 3-meter will conclude the day at 4 p.m. Monday is highlighted by the women's 3-meter (12 p.m.) and the men's platform will follow (4 p.m.). The women's platform will take place at noon on Tuesday to wrap up the invite.
The Vols are coming off a strong performance at the Tennessee Invitational where three-time 2022 SEC Diver of the Week Bryden Hattie earned a 402.50 on the platform, the best score in the SEC and third-highest in the nation this season. He also ranks inside the top-10 nationally in the 3-meter (424.65) and the 1-meter (404.55), checking in at sixth and 10th, respectively. Both scores are the second-best among SEC divers this year.
Hattie wasn't the only Vol to find success during the invite. Jacob Reasor on the platform and Matthew Wade in the 3-meter both recorded big performances. Reasor's score of 357.55 on the tower checks in at No. 4 in the SEC and 13th nationally, while Wade's 393.75 on the 3-meter ranks third in the SEC and 14th in the country.
On the women's side, Tanesha Lucoe leads the SEC on the platform, ranking eighth overall this season with a score of 266.65. The two-time SEC champion's season-best mark also falls as the No. 10 score on tower in Tennessee history.
