Vols in the NFL - Week 6 Update
October 18, 2022 | Football
Week 6 for former Tennessee Volunteers in the NFL featured another big game from a star running back, a second-year wideout having a big impact in prime time and defensive prowess showed up in a big way on the West Coast.
Alvin Kamara has been doing Alvin Kamara things since missing a game three weeks ago. The New Orleans Saints' running back amassed 99 yards after having a 103-yard game a week ago. In four games played this year, Kamara is averaging 75.5 rushing yards per game and has 109.25 yards of total offense per game.
Joshua Palmer has been a big factor for the Los Angeles Chargers this season and his role in the offense was on full display in a Monday Night Football matchup with the Denver Broncos. The second-year receiver posted a career-high nine catches in the game for 57 yards and helped the Chargers pick up a divisional victory in overtime.
Up in Seattle, Darrell Taylor logged his second strip-sack of the season, taking down Arizona Cardinals' quarterback Kyler Murray and knocking the ball free. His strong defensive effort on the line helped limit Arizona's offense to just nine points and helped the Seahawks vault their way into a tie atop the NFC West standings.
Elsewhere, Bryce Thomson made his first career NFL tackle, logging a pair of takedowns against Cincinnati in his second week back with New Orleans. The second-year defensive back has now played in four games with the Saints.
Theo Jackson was signed by the Minnesota Vikings to their active roster after spending the first five weeks of the season on the Titans' practice squad.
