Romig posted two clean sheets last week as Tennessee defeated Missouri and Georgia with a score of 2-0 in both matches. She faced 21 shots and recorded seven saves between the two games.
The Lady Vols have now recorded three straight shutouts and seven shutouts on the season. In SEC games, she ties with Ashley Orkus of Ole Miss for first in the league in saves per game with 5.00, and she is third in save percentage at .833.
For her career, Romig has logged 24 shutouts to rank third all-time in program history. She currently sits at third in the Tennessee record book with a save percentage of .803, and her career goals-against average of .940 ranks fourth.
It is Romig's second SEC weekly honor of the season and fourth overall, having been named SEC Defensive Player of the Week earlier this year following a career-high nine saves in UT's 2-1 win at Florida.
Tennessee continues SEC play on Friday, hosting LSU in a 7 p.m. ET contest at Regal Stadium. The game will be streamed on SECN+.
