KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Setter Kylie Robinson, a transfer from the University of Oregon, has chosen to sign with the Tennessee volleyball program and will join the Lady Vols for the spring semester.
"We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Kylie Robinson," head coach Eve Rackham Watt said. "There is no doubt our program got better today and Kylie will significantly add to our talent in the gym. After four years at Oregon, Kylie has accomplished quite a bit, including an NCAA Tournament appearance each of the past four years. I am looking forward to Kylie bringing her experience and leadership to our team along with her exceptional setting ability. Our staff is excited about the opportunity to train Kylie and believe she has great potential. I also know Kylie will add to our team culture as an excellent student and teammate."
A native of Upland, California, Robinson joined the Ducks as a freshman in 2018, utilizing a redshirt season. As a redshirt freshman in 2019, she led the team and finished ninth in the Pac-12 with 7.93 assists per set.
She played in 27 matches and 102 sets that season and averaged 1.63 digs per set, tallying 166 total, while ending up tied for second on the team with 23 aces. Robinson was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week twice in 2019.
In the spring of 2021, Robinson again led the Ducks in assists per set at 5.64 and finished fourth on the team with 2.16 digs per set. She was one of nine Pac-12 players to average at least 5.00 assists and 2.00 digs per set.
This past season, she averaged 4.78 assists per set and 2.05 digs per set. Robinson also totaled a career-high eight double-doubles as she helped lead Oregon to a 22-9 (13-7 Pac-12) record.
"I chose Tennessee because I really enjoy the athletic community, coaching staff and the love people show for the state and the school as a whole."
Robinson will arrive on campus in January to begin the 2022 spring semester.
