Granberry, Kerr and Roper Sign with Lady Vols

On Monday, Tennessee volleyball head coach Eve Rackham Watt announced the addition of Kiki Granberry, Caroline Kerr and Kenady Roper to Tennessee volleyball's 2022 signing class.

Including Kadynce Boothe who signed in November, Tennessee now has four signees for the 2022 recruiting cycle.

"We are excited to announce the additional players in our 2022 class," Rackham Watt said. "Caroline, Kiki and Kenady will add to our depth at each of their respective positions. All three of them bring something different to our program and will add to our culture both in the gym and outside it. They are strong students academically and will represent the Lady Vols in a first-class manner."

The Lady Vols' signing class includes a pair of 2021 AVCA High School All-Americans and three PrepVolleyball.com top-150 recruits.

Keondreya "Kiki" Granberry
Winter Garden, Florida
Windermere High School / OTVA Volleyball
Middle Blocker / 6-3
A 6-3 middle blocker, Keondreya "Kiki" Granberry served as team caption for Windermere High School this past season, helping lead the Wolverines to their first state championship appearance in program history.

Granberry is listed as the 88th-ranked recruit in the nation and eighth-ranked in Florida by PrepVolleyball.com. The Winter Garden, Florida, native has also been recognized by Prep Dig as one of the top recruits in Florida.

In 2020, she was selected by USA Volleyball to join its A2 National Training Program roster. This season, Granberry finished with 144 kills, a .629 hitting percentage and 35 blocks as she guided Windermere to a 27-4 record.

From Granberry: "I chose Tennessee because of the coaching staff and conference. When I was on calls with Eve and Gavin, I loved their energy and the plans they said they had for me. When I went on my official, I loved the atmosphere with the players and coaches, it was like one big family. Also, I know with me playing under the coaching staff and competing in the SEC, they will help me become the best player I can be."

From Rackham Watt: "Kiki is a strong middle blocker who has played on a lot of winning teams. She is a physical presence and will certainly add to our depth from the time she arrives. With hard work, Kiki has the potential to develop into a top middle blocker in the SEC. She is a great teammate who plays with a lot of joy and we look forward to her arrival on Rocky Top."

Champaign, Illinois
St. Thomas More / Illini Elite
Setter / 5-11
The 2021 News-Gazette All-Area Volleyball Player of the Year, Kerr joins the Lady Vols after leading St. Thomas More to its second state title in program history.

Kerr put together an outstanding senior season as she compiled 875 assists, 254 digs, 160 kills, 30 blocks and 60 service aces. A four-time All-Area first-team selection, the Champaign, Illinois, native was named a 2021 AVCA High School Honorable Mention All-American.

PrepVolleyball.com lists Kerr in its top-150 recruits in the nation at No. 127 and has her as the No. 8 recruit in the state of Illinois. The 5-11 setter has also been named to the 2021 AVCA Best & Brightest Second Team and the 2021 JVA National Team.

What we love the most about Caroline, is her team first mentality. Morganton, North Carolina
Patton High School / Carolina Union
Defensive Specialist/Libero / 5-8
A four-time all-conference selection and the 2021 Mountain Foothills 7 2A Conference Player of the Year, Roper joins the Lady Vols out of Morganton, North Carolina, and Patton High School. She played club volleyball for Carolina Union.

A versatile player, Roper played libero for Patton before switching to outside hitter. She finished her high school career as the program's all-time leader in digs with 1,666 along with 685 kills, 226 assists, 171 aces and 20 blocks.

Roper led Patton High School to the NCHSAA 2A West semifinals as a sophomore and junior, and her senior class leaves as the winningest in program history.

From Roper: "UT has always been my dream school. When I visited the campus and volleyball organization, it was a perfect fit for me."

From Rackham Watt: "Kenady is a player who we have watched develop over the past few years. She continues to put in hard work and it has certainly paid off. She will add to our depth in the libero position and we are excited to watch her excel in our system."

Kernersville, North Carolina
East Forsyth High School / Piedmont Volleyball Club
Outside Hitter / 6-1
Rated as the 110th-ranked recruit in the nation and the fourth-ranked in North Carolina by PrepVolleyball.com, the 6-1 Boothe has been named to the AVCA Best and Brightest First Team and the region three AVCA All-Region first team. She is also a member of the 2021 AVCA High School Third-Team All-America.

Boothe holds several school-records at East Forsyth, including single-season records for kills (588), digs (273), kill percentage (47.7) and kills per set (6.39). She also holds career records in kills (1,398), digs (825) and sets played (290).

As a four-time Central Piedmont All-Conference selection, Boothe has also been named the CPC Player of the Year for the last three seasons. She is a two-time All-State performer.

First in women's athletics, a lot of times female sports can be overlooked and unappreciated, but I love how everyone supports female athletes as well as the male athletes. Secondly, I love how much pride the University has in truly taking care of its students. On an athletic level, I chose to attend Tennessee because it has been my dream to play in the SEC with a special group of girls who will work to win a national title. I am so excited to be able to contribute to a team with amazing girls and coaches."

Our staff has been excited about this day for a long time and believe Kadynce will be a special player on Rocky Top. She is a true six-rotation outside hitter with a great arm and a great serve.
