#SwimTrials21: Tennessee Closes Out U.S. Olympic Swim Trials

OMAHA, Neb. – Former Lady Vol Erika Brown closed out Tennessee's stay at the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials Sunday, swimming in the 50m freestyle at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Brown was the fifth-seed going into finals after her semifinal time of 24.57, which tied her career-best in the event. In Sunday night's 50m free final, Brown touched in 24.93 and finished eighth overall.
The 2020 Tennessee graduate already qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in the 100m freestyle and will also be eligible to swim on the 4x100 free relay.

Brown and the rest of Team USA's swimmers will now head to Hawaii to begin training camp before moving on to Tokyo for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad. The Opening Ceremonies take place July 23, with the first swimming events beginning July 24.
