May 13, 2021 | Women's Basketball
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Josh Theis, who has spent the past two seasons as a graduate manager with the Tennessee women's basketball program, has been hired as the program's first-ever creative recruiting content and branding specialist, head coach Kellie Harper announced Thursday.
Â
Theis has worked alongside the recruiting coordinator and coaching staff to create graphics and videos for use in recruiting and social media. He now will take on a leadership role in that area, serving as the point person for those projects.
Â
In addition to creating and developing recruiting content, he will assist in cultivating image and branding for Tennessee women's basketball, its student-athletes and coaches.
Â
Theis, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, came to Knoxville after earning his undergraduate degree in graphic design in 2019 from Xavier University. He spent four years with the Xavier men's basketball team as a student program assistant, working with a squad that made an NCAA Elite Eight appearance in 2017 and won the BIG EAST regular season championship in 2018. He earned a master's degree in sports management from the University of Tennessee in May 2021.
