Volleyball Preview: Tennessee Wraps Up Home Season vs. LSU

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee volleyball team plays its final two home matches of the 2020-21 season Wednesday and Thursday at Thompson-Boling Arena against LSU.
First serve for both matches is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.

Both matches are available to stream on SEC Network+, with Will Boling (play-by-play) and J Hames (color) calling the action.
LAST TIME OUT
Tennessee wrapped up its four-match road swing last Friday and Saturday at Alabama. The Lady Vols and Crimson Tide split the matches, with Alabama taking match one in four sets. Tennessee responded by winning a four-setter in match two.
LIBERO OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE
Sophomore Madison Bryant took over the libero role against Auburn in UT's final two matches of the fall. Since moving into the position, she is averaging 4.74 digs per set. Bryant's 4.74 digs per set since becoming Tennessee's starting libero leads the conference.
Overall, Bryant is averaging 3.92 digs per set, which also ranks first in the league.
LILY "KILY" FELTS
Junior Lily Felts leads UT in kills with 219 this season. She is averaging 3.32 kills per set and is hitting at a .241 clip. Felts has been a terror all season as she has 13 double-digit kill performances out of UT's 18 matches.
Her 19 kills against Georgia (Oct. 29) and South Carolina (Nov. 6) tied her career-high, which she set against Colorado State in the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 30, 2018.
In addition to her 13 double-digit kill outings, Felts has also scored eight double-doubles, including a run of three-straight double-doubles from Oct. 29 - Nov. 7.
MO FEELING
Sophomore Morgahn Fingall has become a key figure in the Lady Vol offense. The right side is leading the squad in kills per set, averaging 3.49. When she entered the starting lineup against Missouri, Fingall went on a run of seven consecutive matches with double-digit kills.
Against Alabama last week, Fingall averaged 3.38 kills per set for a total of 27 kills. The Fairfax, Virginia, native hit .270 versus the Tide and came away with nine total blocks.
SCOUTING LSU
LSU enters the weekend at 9-11 (9-11 SEC), but on a four-match win streak. The Tigers swept South Carolina and Georgia at home the last two weekends.
Taylor Bannister has been crucial to LSU's recent success, being named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week two weeks in a row, aligning with the four wins. With her performance last weekend against Georgia included a 30-kill match while hitting .481 on Friday.
SERIES HISTORY
LSU leads the all-time series 38-25 and owns a 6-4 advantage over the last 10 meetings. Last season, the Tigers won in Knoxville in five sets. In that match, Felts scored 17 kills for the Lady Vols.
