Lady Vols Collect Four Doubles Wins on Day Two of Tennessee Fall Invitational

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee women's tennis team claimed victory in four of six doubles matches on day two of the Tennessee Fall Invitational Friday.
UT began the afternoon by sweeping its three matches with Kentucky, before taking one of three matches against Vanderbilt.
Daria Kuczer and Eleonora Molinaro took care of business early for the Lady Vols, handily defeating Kentucky's Fiona Arrese and Lidia Gonzalez, 6-1. The doubles pairing of Tenika McGiffin and Olivia Symons battled en route to earning a 6-4 win over Florencia Urrutia and Carlota Molina (Kentucky).
Elza Tomase and Esther Adeshina capped off Tennessee's doubles sweep of Kentucky, claiming a 6-2 victory over Carla Girbau and Ellie Eades.
Following UT's matches with Kentucky, the Lady Vols took on three doubles pairs from Vanderbilt. Adeshina and Tomase trounced Amy Stevens and Yufei Long (VU), securing a 6-2 victory.
McGiffin and Symons dropped their second doubles match of the day, 4-6 to Holly Staff and Marcella Cruz (VU), while Vanderbilt's Dasha Kourkina/MaryAnn Rompf defeated Kuczer and Molinaro, 6-4.
