Vols in the NFL - Week 7 Update
October 26, 2021 | Football
A pair of milestone games and two VFLs marking the stat sheet highlight the seventh week of the NFL season for former Vols in the pros.
Alvin Kamara exploded after the Saints' bye week, picking up 128 receiving yards and a touchdown while rushing for 51 yards in a Monday night win over Seattle, 13-10. The fifth-year man became the fastest player in NFL history to have 3,000 rushing yards and receiving yards.
Emmanuel Moseley put together a solid night in the 49er secondary, recording a career-high four pass breakups in a Sunday night showdown with Indianapolis in San Francisco. He led the team in the category and helped hold Colts quarterback Carson Wentz to only 150 yards passing.
Patriots fullback Jakob Johnson recorded his first touches of the season, securing a pair of catches. His longest reception of the game went for 28 yards. While the third-year VFL has played in every game this season and made three starts, he has been used in a blocking role thus far.
