Diving Central: Tennessee Opens 2021 at Georgia Diving Invitational

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Diving into 2021, Tennessee's diving team returns to the boards Sunday with the 2021 Georgia Diving Invitational at Gabrielsen Natatorium. The Vols and Lady Vols will compete against SEC foe Georgia and NC State from the ACC.
The three-day event runs Jan. 3-5 and begins each day at 11 a.m. ET. The meet begins Sunday with the men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter springboard, followed by men's 3-meter and women's platform on Monday. Tuesday closes with women's 1-meter and men's platform.
Tennessee looks to showcase its depth this weekend as 11 men and women are entered to compete. The Vols' and Lady Vols' last competition was at the Tennessee Double Dual, which saw them win three events.
Junior Grace Cable won both the women's 1-meter and 3-meter springboard, while freshman Bryden Hattie won on men's platform. Hattie's winning mark of 449.80 pushed him to third all-time in school history on platform.
The Big Orange added five second place finishes and five third place finishes to go along with their three wins.
