KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee women's tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team for a second-straight year, the association announced on Monday. In addition, seven Lady Vols were named ITA Scholar Athletes.
The team recorded a 3.64 GPA for the 2019-2020 academic year.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
For the second-straight year, Kylie Duckworth and Ariadna Riley were named ITA Scholar Athletes. Riley appeared on the 2020 SEC Honor Roll for a third-consecutive year and graduated in May with a degree in political science.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
Johanna Silva and Gabby Schuck both earned the ITA Scholar Athlete nod for the first time in their careers. Both also appeared on the 2020 SEC Honor Roll.
Carly Briggs, Callie Creath and Hadley Doyle were named ITA Scholar Athletes following their first year on Rocky Top.
