Fulmer, Catchings Join Women In Leadership Panel

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- ESPN Radio host and espnW writer Sarah Spain moderates a podcast called "That's What She Said," and on Tuesday's "When We Play" round table, she featured two guests familiar to fans in Big Orange Country and well beyond.Â
Joining Spain was University of Tennessee Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Phillip Fulmer, a Vol football alum who went on to become a national champion and hall of fame football coach at his alma mater. With them on the interview was LVFL Tamika Catchings, a four-time All-American and Olympian, 10-time WNBA All-Star with the Indiana Fever and currently the vice president of basketball operations for that franchise. Rounding out the panel was retired hall of fame Notre Dame women's basketball coach Muffet McGraw.
The discussion, which focused on women in leadership roles, was a part of espnW's "When We Play" initiative celebrating the 48th anniversary of the passing of Title IX. The late Lady Vol basketball coaching legend Pat Summitt's name frequently was mentioned, as the panel discussed Summitt's far-reaching impact on her players, UT Athletics, the game of basketball and women from all walks of life.
