Pensky Announces 2020 Spring Soccer Schedule

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee soccer head coach Brian Pensky has announced the program's exhibition schedule for the 2020 spring semester. The slate features five matches, including three at Regal Soccer Stadium, a road trip to Alabama and a neutral site matchup against Auburn in Atlanta.

Admission for all spring matches at Regal Soccer Stadium will be free of charge. Restrooms will be open at the facility, but attendees should be advised that concessions will not be available during these offseason contests.

2020 Tennessee Soccer Spring Schedule
Saturday, Feb. 29 - Tennessee Tech (Knoxville, Tenn. // 5 p.m.)
Saturday, March 7 - at Alabama (Tuscaloosa, Ala. // 1 p.m.)
Saturday, March 28 - vs. Auburn (Atlanta, Ga. // 4 p.m.)
Thursday, April 9 - Chattanooga (Knoxville, Tenn. // 7 p.m.)
Saturday, April 18 - Wake Forest (Knoxville, Tenn. // 3 p.m.)

The Vols open the spring slate with an in-state home matchup against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles on Saturday, February 29. The contest is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start at Regal Soccer Stadium.

The following weekend, Tennessee will travel to SEC rival Alabama for a spring exhibition on Saturday, March 7 in Tuscaloosa. The Tide return 23 letterwinners from last year's squad that finished the season with a 10-7-3 overall record.

On Saturday, March 28, the Vols will head to Atlanta for a neutral site match against conference foe Auburn. The teams will compete at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground complex, which serves as the practice facility for MLS club Atlanta United FC.

Tennessee will wrap up the spring slate with back-to-back home matches against Chattanooga (Thursday, April 9) and Wake Forest (Saturday, April 18).

The Vols concluded the 2019 season 9-6-3 overall, good for the eighth consecutive season with a record .500 or better under head coach Brian Pensky. Last year's ledger included an 8-2 record at Regal Soccer Stadium as well as shutout wins over SEC rivals Florida, Georgia and Kentucky.

UT returns 17 letter winners from last season, and the spring roster also features five mid-year enrollees in Kristín Dís Árnadóttir, Maddie Eskin, Carlyn Presley, Hannah Tillett (transfer from MTSU) and Brooke Wilson (transfer from Arizona).
