KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee junior Lily Felts has been selected as the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Felts was also selected as the conference's Offensive Player of the Week.
The selection comes after the Knoxville native led the Lady Vols to back-to-back road sweeps of Auburn to close out the fall season.
"We are so proud of Lily and happy she has been recognized this week by the SEC," head coach Eve Rackham Watt said. "Lily has put in a tremendous amount of work not only in her on-court performance, but in her leadership as well. She does so much for our team and has continued to improve each week. It is great to end the fall season on a high note for both Lily and the entire team."
In six sets against Auburn, Felts totaled 31 kills, hit .296, recorded 14 digs, a pair of blocks, two aces and chipped in with two assists. For the second week running, she averaged more than five kills per set (5.17) and more than five points pet set (5.67).
With 18 kills in match one and 13 kills in match two, Felts ran her double-digit kill streak to six consecutive games. She added 10 digs in the first meeting to stretch her double-double streak to four-straight.
Felts finished the fall season ranked eighth in the SEC in kills per set, averaging 3.72 and recording 108 total kills. She also ranks eighth in the league in points per set with an average of 4.12.
